About the collection

The Library Science collection at Cambridge University Library provides an unparalleled resource for both librarians and library users.

The collection is divided into two parts, monographs and periodicals. The monograph collection (located in the Commonwealth Room) includes items from major library publishers from both the UK and abroad, including Facet and the American Library Association. Titles cover a broad spectrum of library issues from professional literature, published research and practical guides to every aspect of librarianship. Whether you are studying for a library qualification, looking for some professional development or just interested in the wider world of information there is something in the collection for you.

In addition to this the library holds an extensive collection of library science journals, newsletters and conference proceedings. Current material can be found in the West Room pigeon holes whilst bound volumes are located on West Four.
